  • We successfully defended Wiltshire Primary Care Trust against two challenges to the reconfiguration of community healthcare services. 
  • We advised South Central SHA on its proposals to fluoridate the water in Southampton. This is the first consultation of its kind in the UK for many years and is regarded as a test case. Currently we are dealing with the application for judicial review which has been lodged.
  • We advised on the whole programme for closure of one of the last long-stay hospitals for people with learning disabilities. Our services included advising on individual assessments, the consultation programme and documentation, decision-making criteria including human rights issues, and successfully defending the closure decision from legal challenges brought on consultation, human rights and individual best interests grounds.
