Examples of our work in this area

  • We currently provide an employee relations support service to Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, the largest NHS employer and participant in the first Academic Health Science Centre in the United Kingdom. Following successful implementation, in 2008, the service has been operating effectively ever since, providing advice to managers of over 9,600 employees.
    The Trust has seen a significant improvement in employee relations work following the introduction and monitoring of key performance indicators that are measured through the case management system used by Capsticks HRA. This has led to a fundamental change in the way employee relations issues are handled, enabling and developing managers in managing day-to-day issues effectively with support through advice, development and skills coaching.
  • We provide a similar service to Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, advising 300 managers and 2500 employees. The service was implemented at very short notice and we have already received extremely positive feedback from the managers involved. In particular they have identified the speed of response, consistency of advice and practical support as key to the delivery of the service.
  • We recently undertook a project to harmonise the terms and conditions of secretarial staff at London Orthopaedic Clinic, successfully moving staff across to a new contract.
  • We supported the TUPE transfer of staff from Barts and the London Hospital NHS Trust to the newly established Barts and the London Charity Trustee, ensuring appropriate consultation and information transfer.
  • We have carried out a number of independent high profile investigations for NHS trusts, including resolution of doctor’s disciplinary cases.
