NHS London and NHS Yorkshire and the Humber - Learning and Development Agreements
We have been assisting NHS London and NHS Yorkshire and the Humber to prepare learning and development agreements governing the funding of education for all health professionals in their SHA areas. In so doing, we have been helping SHAs establish robust quality and performance monitoring mechanisms to deliver the QIPP agenda.  We have also advised on indemnities ensuring the SHA as funder, does not have any exposure to service delivery liabilities.

NHS London – Medical and Dental Education Commissioning System
We worked with NHS London supporting its groundbreaking innovations in contracting for the provision of medical education services across the SHA’s area.  This project enabled local education providers to take over deanery functions at a local level, in line with national proposals.  The project involved both a competitive dialogue process, and the appointment of bidders onto a framework, with services to be drawn down by the commissioner under call off contracts.  We were required to tailor the contracts to fit the very particular complexities of education and training arrangements, drawing upon our expertise in this area.

Pan London University Consortium - Education Contracting
We advised Universities across London on the implementation of contractual structures to govern education provision and placement provision issues.  In association with this exercise, we developed a bespoke approach to document signature to allow numerous bodies to sign up to the relevant arrangements.  We also provided input on the creation of a new (outsourced) body by the universities to administrate the rotation of allied health professional trainees across London.
