Rebecca is a partner in the clinical law team. She handles high value or complex clinical negligence claims for a variety of NHS trusts and has a particular interest in claims involving neurological injury, including cases relating to obstetrics and neurosurgery.
Rebecca also has experience of advising NHS bodies on their obligations under the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts as well as issues arising from serious untoward incident investigations and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. In 2007, Rebecca acted on behalf of the successful NHS trust in the case of Bluck v Information Commissioner and Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust. This case, heard by the Information Tribunal, considered for the first time whether the duty of confidence was capable of persisting following death.
