Catherine qualified as a lawyer in a city law firm before completing her Masters in Medical Law and Ethics at King’s College, London. She then gained experience working at the Medical Protection Society advising and defending General Practitioners and consultants in private practice in a broad range of specialties. She also represented doctors in relation to claims brought by the GMC and GDC.
Prior to joining Capsticks, Catherine gained experience at a national healthcare firm working for the NHSLA. Since joining Capsticks, Catherine has gained further experience in the clinical law department, advising on the defence of complex, sensitive and high value claims for Trusts and the NHSLA. Her caseload includes a variety of medical negligence matters including obstetric, cardiac, orthopaedic, neurological and spinal injury claims.
