Rachel was a trainee solicitor at Capsticks and qualified into the Employment Department as a lawyer in September 2014. Prior to completing her training, Rachel worked as a paralegal in the Employment department for four years providing assistance to fee earners.
Rachel undertakes a wide range of employment tribunal work, including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims. She also undertakes advocacy at preliminary hearings.
As well as managing her own caseload, Rachel also provides assistance to senior members of the department on more complex cases. In addition, Rachel advises clients on disputes and grievances at an early stage in order to try and avoid any issues developing into employment tribunal claims. Rachel has experience of negotiating settlement agreements and COT3 agreements.
Rachel provides advice relating to the full spectrum of HR policies, processes, and responsibilities. Rachel also gives seminars and training sessions on a range of employment law topics.
