Sabira joined Capsticks as a trainee solicitor in September 2008 and has worked with the dispute resolution, clinical and property teams, providing a broad range of advice to our NHS and healthcare clients. She qualified into the Clinical Law department in September 2011.
Sabira has considerable experience with dealing with medical and dental negligence claims, inquest work, advisory matters, and acting on insurance claims. She has acted for the NHS Litigation Authority, one of the main Medical Defence Organisations, and for a number of medical malpractice insurers.
Clinical negligence work is central to Sabira’s practice, and she has assisted on a high value High Court trial clinical negligence claim. Sabira and Will Marshall represented a NHS Trust in a clinical negligence claim which was successfully defended at trial in September 2012. She manages a caseload of her own as well as assisting partners with higher value brain damage baby claims.
Sabira completed a medical degree at Bristol University in 2003 and worked as a doctor for 3 years before undertaking her law conversion in 2006 and obtaining her LLB in 2008.
