Nikesh joined Capsticks as a Trainee Solicitor in 2014 and qualified into the Public Law team in September 2016. Nikesh has worked alongside Solicitors and Partners on a range of issues, providing advice and assistance in relation to information law, Judicial Review and Court of Protection matters. Nikesh has also provided advice to NHS bodies and other healthcare providers in relation to Care Quality Commission reports and inspections.
Nikesh has experience within Capsticks’ Clinical Law, Primary Care, Regulatory and Property Litigation teams. Nikesh has also undertaken a secondment with a healthcare regulator.
Assisting in a matter in which Capsticks are defending a Judicial Review claim in relation to a client CCG’s Individual Funding Request Policy.
Handling and advising on information rights requests under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Advising colleagues on the impact and implications of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016.
Assisting and advising NHS England on the exercise of Performers list management powers.
Running fitness to practise cases on behalf of healthcare regulators.
Defending clinical negligence and personal injury claims and running cases on behalf of the NHS Litigation Authority.
Advising NHS bodies and social housing providers in property litigation matters.
