Lisa recently joined Capsticks as a newly qualified solicitor in the Clinical Law department to assist Will Marshall with Capsticks’ 2020 vision to expand our insurance offering.
Lisa has a broad range of experience in the legal, insurance and regulatory industries, both in the public and private sector. Lisa started her career in the health sector involved in policy making on NHS quality and efficiency savings within central government at the Department of Health. Other previous experience includes assisting with brokering care home policies at Towergate Insurance, Fitness to Practise casework at the General Dental Council and claimant clinical negligence at Fieldfisher.
Lisa trained and qualified as a solicitor at BLM in their Healthcare department where she handled clinical negligence claims, product liability claims and Inquests on behalf of MPS members, the NHSLA, insurers and private healthcare providers. Whilst at BLM, Lisa spent 5 months on secondment to Aspen Insurance in their Financial and Professional Lines Claims Department and 2 weeks at the NHSLA. Lisa currently handles a varied caseload of pre-action and litigated clinical claims with damages reserves in excess of £500,000 on behalf of the NHSLA and insurer clients.
Assisted with the Metal on Metal ‘mix and match’ hips litigation in the
Royal Courts of Justice on behalf of various GPs whilst at BLM.
