Alicia is a lawyer in Capsticks Clinical Law Department. She is a barrister qualified in both Ireland (July, 2006) and England and Wales (November, 2013). While in private practice in Ireland, she specialised in criminal law (sexual offences in particular), judicial review, civil litigation, personal injuries and employment law. She was conferred with an MA in Medical Law with distinction in January 2015 from King’s College London; her dissertation title was ‘The Changing Face of Surrogacy in Ireland’. Prior to joining Capsticks she worked as a Medico-Legal Advisor with a UK charity, AvMa (Action against Medical Accidents). Her work there included representing families at inquests as well as advising in relation to medical negligence claims.
