Jamie is a partner in Capsticks' Commercial team. He provides commercial, corporate and contractual advice to a range of NHS, private sector, care home and charity clients.
Jamie advises on a variety of transactional and advisory matters, including national vanguards implementing the Five Year Forward View, implementing the Carter operational productivity recommendations (including shared service projects), large scale procurement projects, managed equipment services as well as share acquisitions or sales and joint venture work. He advises providers and commissioners on contracting matters, including providing advice in relation to the NHS England standard form contracts and provides a wide range of commercial and contracting advice to care homes.
Jamie also provides advice on competition law (both statutory and under the provider license) and he has carried out a four month secondment with the Monitor Competition Directorate as well as successfully obtaining merger clearances from the Competition and Markets Authority for both individual projects and whole organization mergers.
Before joining Capsticks in 2009, Jamie worked in a city firm on a wide range of commercial and corporate transactional work, including advising on various projects, acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and share issues.
