Julia joined Capsticks as a trainee in September 2011, qualifying as a lawyer in the Clinical Law department in September 2013.
Before joining Capsticks, Julia worked as a paralegal on behalf of Medical Defence Organisations, assisting on the defence of claims and GMC/GDC proceedings against General Practitioners and consultants in private practice.
Julia now specialises in defending clinical negligence claims against the NHS. Her work consists of a variety of cases including surgical, psychiatric, neurological, orthopaedic, gynaecological and Fatal Accident Act claims. She also assists on a number of high value and sensitive cases.
