Deborah is a senior lawyer in the Employment team. She conducts employment litigation, including complex whistleblowing and discrimination cases, for NHS trusts and charities and she advises on a range of employment issues. Her recent work includes, providing a set of contracts for new members of a Trust’s senior management team, advising a Trust on redundancy and notice pay issues and advising a charity on management of a difficult employee through an internal capability process. She also advises on TUPE issues and has recently advised on due diligence and equalities issues in relation to a proposed acquisition by a Trust. Deborah provides training and seminars on a variety of employment topics including redundancy/restructuring, maternity rights and atypical workers and the Equality Act 2010.
Before joining Capsticks, Deborah was an employment lawyer in the Charity & Social Business team in a London based firm, advising charities, social enterprises, trade associations and other not for profit organisations. Her work included employment tribunal litigation and advising on matters such as the transfer of employees following tendering processes and consultation with employees on changes to pension provision. She also delivered training and seminars for the third sector.
