Ed is a lawyer in the Clinical Law Department, specialising in Defendant clinical negligence and medical malpractice claims. He manages a caseload of claims and Inquests for the NHS Litigation Authority, private medical malpractice insurers and one of the main Medical Defence Organisations. He also assists partners and associates with higher value claims.
Ed joined Capsticks in December 2008 as a paralegal and commenced his training contract in September 2011. As a trainee Ed completed seats in Clinical Negligence, Healthcare Advisory, Commercial, Commercial Litigation and Real Estate. He qualified into the Clinical Law Department in September 2013.
In addition to his usual case work, Ed has been involved in a large risk management project on maternity claims and has been on secondment to different NHS Trusts, a private insurance company, the NHSLA and a Medical Defence Organisation.
