Elaina qualified as a lawyer in the firm’s Employment department in September 2008, having trained at Capsticks.
Elaina advises on all aspects of employment law, contentious and non-contentious, for health and social care, and social housing clients. Elaina conducts a wide range of Employment Tribunal litigation, ranging from straight forward unfair dismissal, to complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims, and carries out advocacy at Preliminary Hearings. She routinely advises clients on day-to-day employment issues, such as recruitment, contracts of employment and employment policies, performance management, sickness absence, pay and working time issues, redundancies and the handling of grievances and disciplinaries. Elaina has extensive experience of handling junior doctor pay-banding disputes, and negotiating commercial settlements.
Elaina also provides employment law training to clients.
